Toothpaste and Its Many Cleaning Purposes

Lately many home owners turn to alternative methods of cleaning, because they consider them to be safer and more nature friendly than all the cleaning products they sell in the stores. And they are practically right. There are many common household ingredients, which can be turned into the perfect cleaning solutions, only if you know how to use them. Take toothpaste for instance.

Toothpaste makes your teeth shiny and white, but have you ever thought it can have the same cleaning effect on your home? Yes, and every housewife should know how and where to apply a bit of this magic paste, so that she can receive a satisfactory result. Carpet cleaning or scuffed leather shoes? No worries, just apply your toothpaste and scrub away the stains with an abrasive brush for the carpet, and soft cloth for the shoes. Same applies for stained clothes — put some toothpaste on the stained fabric and rub it together, then rinse with water. It might not work for all stains, but it is well worth trying. Toothpaste can be used for removing crayon from painted walls or also cleaning piano keys and baby bottles. The active ingredients in the toothpaste can clean and remove all kinds of residues and stains on almost every kind of surfaces. The only thing I wouldn’t use it on are gentle fabrics, because it may come too strong and damage the colours. But you can safely use it in every other aspect of your house cleaning work.

For the first case, just rub a damp cloth with some paste on the marked area, and then rinse with a clean cloth. Piano keys you can scrub with a toothbrush and then wipe with wet and dry cloth. Remember to clean the baby bottles with a bottle scrubber and then rinse well with water. Brush your chrome and make it gleam and shine! Just apply some of your toothpaste on any harder brush and work with it. You can even use toothpaste to clean your iron along the plate and bottom edge. Similarly, toothpaste is working impressively well on jewellery. Just put a dab of it on the jewel and brush with a soft toothbrush. However, for a maximum effect you better let it work overnight and scrub on the next day.

Remember to avoid using on pearls, since this process can damage their coating. Even though toothpaste can be a great cleaner, it’s still quite strong and you should use it with caution. You can also try to apply some of the magical paste on a zit or even worse, herpes. This would eradicate the process of further enlargement. It would reduce the redness and dry out the grease.

Caution: Use only while sleeping and away from people. Toothpaste can be another remedy for bee stings. It can relieve the itching and pain, caused by the sting. So wherever you go, bring your toothpaste with you. From carpet cleaning to pimple and herpes problems, this is your cure. And don’t omit to use it for its main and most important purpose — your smashing smile.
Now you know how to deal with a lot of the dirt at home. Feel free to share with your friends, sometimes we all need some help to deal with the domestic chores.
