The new kernel of on-demand work
Esko Kilpi

One thing to enable this change is changing the way we pay people.

Knowledge workers cannot get paid an hourly rate. There has to be smarter ways to incentivize people for what they produce, not for how many ‘hours’ they work. We need to start paying for the quality and value that people bring to the table. Hourly rates are a thing of the past.

We also need to start looking at time differently. Speed is rarely quality. Creating value that last and are sustainable often take considerable time.

Budgets have to take these things into consideration and let people do quality work. Otherwise you cannot truly talk about Future of Work?
