THE NO CONFIDENCE MONSOON SESSION
This blog is about the most enjoyable monsoon session of this year . I am talking about the session which was held on the 20th july, 2018 . In this session “A NO CONFIDENCE MOTION ” was passed against our honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi( NDA) by the members of TELUGU DESAM PARTY.
SO, lets begin , in order to understand the entire session we need to know some basics of the parliamentary system and the system of election we follow in india and why ?
1 ) WHAT IS A PARLIAMENT ?
Parliament is that body of government which decides and implement laws for the country. A bill is proposed in the parliament and with majority of the houses , it is sent to the president for the final call , if president agrees and suggests no changes then the bill turns into a law .
Parliamentary system of government is a highly required as it provides stability to the government. INDIA opts for FPTP system which means FIRST PAST THE POST , this is because it gives an easy alternative for people , it provides stability and enables a two party system lastly it prohibits the FIEFDOM OF VOTES ( acquiring votes from a single party )
2) NO CONFIDENCE MOTION
It is the principle instrument of the legislative body according to this the head executive[PM/SR HEAD] can be deemed from power if they are not efficient in working of their term .
This is the situation of MID TERM POLL where the ruling party is removed from power before completing 5 years tenure due to no confidence motion passed against it .
Similarly the TELUGU DESAM PARTY enforced a no confidence motion against the BJP as they wanted to know the reality what BJP has done during these years .
3)START OF NO CONFIDENCE MOTION
Member of the Telugu Desam Party wanted to surpass a No Confidence Motion against the BJP as according to them the party is not fully accountable of the services it has delivered to the people of India
The schemes and policies by the BJP don’t fulfill the aspirations and requirements of the citizens from lower class to upper middle class
Big businessmen who have the Monopoly of power in their hand only get the benefit of such policies
According to the RAJYA SABHA TV a big debate was held in the parliament which continued for 12 hours with a break in between ,discussing the jobs and services that BJP provided to the people of India. And on the other hand the Congress party kept on disagreeing to the statements considering the work of BJP, a complete waste
4) CONGRESS VS BHARTIYA JANTA PARTY
The Congress in the first half spoke about certain issues, where according to them the BJP couldn’t achieve anything .
Issues like MASS EMPLOYMENT, JAN DHAN YOJNA , DIGITALISATION , RAFAEL DEAL etc. Were discussed extinsively . According to the party all the policies were only meant to divert the people from exact point and create a candidate centric system for the party ( where one main leader gets popularity due to the promises done by him / her for seeking maximum number of seats and votes ) .
The biggest disadvantage for the Congress was that , due to the questions raised against RAFAEL DEAL , the president Emanuel Macron informally participated to prove Rahul Gandhi wrong and this act showed us the darkness of the parliamentary session of India.
Although the Congress greatly put their focus on the budget and the GST ( goods and service tax ), according to them the BJP influenced this policy promising the citizens to initiate heavy changes in the budget coming for the sessional term .
The Congress held BJP accountable for the poor condition of impecnious or destitute people of our society as well as the state in which the farmers are living in right now .
In the second half of the session the party responded back to the opposition party with full aggressiveness and the thought to prove them wrong .
According to them all the accusations that Congress implied towards them were wrong and purely baseless .
They dignified the accusations with proper explanation and this showed us the maturity and understanding level of the party .
Although when the prime minister addressed the assembly he truly failed to express the questions that were asked by the Telugu Desam Party . Our prime minister too was interested in the activities that were performed in the parliament few hours ago (actions of Rahul Gandhi) .
Lastly the party discussed the motive of Digitalization of India very extinsively
Members of BJP took the help of Jumlas and shayaris to express thier hatered towards the party as well as to prove the point to the speaker Ms. Sumitra Mahajan .
Whereas Congress not only took the help dramebaazi to prove their point but also took great help of the facts to prove the relevancy for the issues they discussed
5) A WINK AND A HUG
The Congress party adhyaksh (leader) Shri Rahul Gandhi made a frivolous effort to show the effectiveness of his point
First , he addressed that the informal name Pappu given to him by BJP and other citizens, justified the love and affection that they have for him .
The usage of this name wasn’t necessary in the parliament as it was of no use and was only meant to sarcastically insult the prime minister
Just to displace the prime minister of India from his seat he got out and gave him a hug, but he truly failed in his action as the PM didn’t react to this .
All this mess was followed up by a wink which Rahul Gandhi gave to his fellow minister Jyotiraditya Scindia to show that he succeeded in his action . According to the people of India he genuinely forgot that there were hundreds of camera in the parliament which would capture his act and he will a source of memes in the social media world .
In the second half PM ,Instead of addressing the questions put up for them by TDP ,was busy in childish activities he justified the action of Rahul Gandhi as useless and he also used phrases like uthho uthho uthho which were meant to insult the opposition
Lastly. Both the parties couldn’t carry the discussion forward in an appropriate way and were mostly diverted from their main point
6) FINAL CONCLUSION
The No Confidence Motion was failed to pass against the BJP (NDA )
There were 325 no’s and 126 Ayes which clearly stated the winner
BJP passed to fight against the motion with more that 2/3rd of the votes
LASTLY I WOULD SAY THAT A MORE CLEAR VERSION OF PARLIAMENTARY SESSION MUST BE CONDUCTED SO THAT QUESTIONS ARE BEING RESPONDED POINT TO POINT WHICH WILL EVENTUALLY INCREASE THE EFFICIENCY OF OUR PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM (LEGISLATION)
Hope you like this blog and I want you all to write any suggestions or new points that one can add in this blog . Lastly I am too small to be opinionated so don’t form a block version of the mindset that I have
