How Failure put me on a Path to Success
Lela Perez

I relate to this so much. I was also pre-vet in undergrad. I spent literally my entire life until junior year of undergrad defining myself as “going to be a veterinarian one day”. Then I shadowed vets / worked in clinics and realized it wasn’t as great as I had hoped it would be. Despite this it was still really hard to give up on that dream, because I had defined myself by it for so long. I had a little bit of research experience and worked in a path lab for a few years and then went to grad school, which I absolutely love.

Funny how life works out sometimes, huh?

Thanks for sharing, it’s nice to know someone else out in the world relates.
