The URL has to be encoded.

see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Query_string

section: URL encoding

Some characters cannot be part of a URL (for example, the space) and some other characters have a special meaning in a URL

There must be a parser in the web server application that parses the URL encoded string. This is standard.

for example in node js application we have:

var express = require('express');
var bodyParser = require('body-parser');
var app = express();
app.use(bodyParser.urlencoded({ extended: true }));
