in 2014 —

I drove a motorbike through puddles on a dirt road to a home in Southeast Asia with no address in a country with no residential postal service.

canoed down a lazy river in the middle of a Midwestern city with the full moon at my back.

was greeted by the Mekong River with colors I have never seen work together before.

sauntered through the Redwood Forests, looking up at their tree tops.

zipped through on the metro of one of the world’s largest metropolitan cities in the world surrounded by 22 million other people.

made my way to a small island in Thailand, celebrating the holidays with a good friend.

after wearing contacts and glasses for 20 years, I had surgery on my eyes, perfecting my vision.

made new friends.

kept old ones.
