I’ve just realised that Mastodon has a feature no other social network has: by following myself on different instances, I’m creating different copies of all the postings I make on those followed accounts…
If Twitter or Facebook was ever closed down, I wouldn’t have much of the content left that I posted on it.
Let’s say it’s almost akin to publishing a book, the content of it survives as long as a single copy is still out there…
Ok, there is TweetTunnel and I guess some people cross-post their messages on both Facebook and Tumblr.
