A short scramble up Pilatus
I have never hiked a peak in the Alps before, so while visiting the GF in Luzern this week, I decided to take a Spaziergang up Pilatus. I woke up on Saturday with a slight hangover, but took off anyway. After a short train ride to Hergiswil I started plodding uphill…

It was a brutally hot climb. I went through 4 liters of water (and a few beers). But in the Alps, nature provides amazing, clean, cold drinking water. #BYOB

I made the 25km round trip in about 6 hours, starting at 16:00. That meant it was dark coming back off the mountain, which got quite interesting.
With all the LDP long-boarding and jogging that I have been doing lately, my legs are pretty fit. But I definitely will be feeling this one tomorrow!
I soon came across some local inhabitants.

Local humor wasn’t bad either (this one is pretty untranslatable).

From Pilatus you get some of the most stunning views of Lake Lucerne.

My trusty companion: Wandrd PRVKE Pack. Will do a full post on this awesome piece of kit soon!
I love shooting landscape with a longer lens. Let’s me capture all the amazing details that make up the grandeur of a view.

Unfortunately, I was not smart enough to embark with a full battery in my Fuji, so enjoy some iPhone shots:

It really is a beautiful mountain, lots more to explore. I will definitely come back!
