Our never-released image editor project could be yours (Slicy, too)

Some time ago, MacRabbit was working on Codename Magenta, an amazing image editor for Web and UI designers. Slicy was initially a proof of concept to play with the idea of element-based exporting (a brand new concept at the time) while we developed a rendering engine. The Magenta project was put in the freezer after a chain of events I hope to explore in a future series. This post, however, is merely an advertisement. Since we’ve been focusing on Espresso for a while now, we’re going to let go of everything else.

Would you like to get a head start into the design application space, enhance your existing features or add some bad-ass PSD handling? You may want to acquire these codebases.

What’s in the box?

  • Our PSD exporting product Slicy and its codebase
  • The codebase for an incomplete but relatively functional Mac vector drawing app (effects, text rendering, …)
