Thursday News Update with Super Mario Odyssey out now, new Neo Geo games, Kamiko sequel and more!

Super Mario Odyssey is the best selling game for the past two weeks on the Japanese Nintendo Switch eShop when it was just a pre-load. It’s now fully available and playable however!

Nintendo Switch is now at Version 4.0.1 which sees: “General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience, including changed the HDMI connection process specification to match that of version 3.0.2 to address video and sound output issues with some TV models.”

Source Gaming spoke with Chris Chau from CIRCLE Ent. who emphatically answered “for sure” in response to a Kamiko sequel. Skipmore are concentrating on Picontier first however.

● The next seven ACA NEOGEO games were revealed for Nintendo Switch with World Heroes, Art of Fighting 3, The Last Blade, op Hunter: Roddy & Cathy, Soccer Brawl, Street Hoop and Fighter’s History Dynamite.

● The website for the Nippon Ichi JRPG Anata no Shikihime Kyouikutan (Your Four Knight Princesses Training Story) has opened up here plus screenshots and art on Nintendo’s here.

● The Nintendo Versus Twitter account confirms that the fan favourite map Blackbelly Skatepark will return to Splatoon 2 tonight/tomorrow.

Super Mario Run sees the return of the Loads of Coins event until 9 November where winning at Toad Rally during this period earns you 1.5 times as many coins as usual.

● The delivery time of the Nintendo Switch version of Harvest Moon: Light of Hope will be at the beginning of 2018. no word on a Japanese release.

● OneManOnMars announced the action platformer Leif’s Adventure: Netherworld Hero for Nintendo Switch. Trailer here.

● Digital sales for September (well 28 August — 24 September) are Pocket Monsters Gold & Silver with 78,834 (this is on top of 90,281 download cards), Dragon Quest X: All In One Package with 19,959, Splatoon 2 with 18,462 and Pokkén Tournament DX with 10,182.
