Weekend Update with Animal Crossing mobile coming this fiscal year plus more tidbits!

JUST a quick news update today with a few comments from President Tatsumi Kimishima and a few more tidbits!

Animal Crossing will still release on mobile this fiscal year (before 31 March 2018) although no further details at present!

● Paid online service of Nintendo Switch will start in the second half of the fiscal year (October or later).

President Tatsumi Kimishima reiterated that he wants Nintendo Switch to achieve the 100 million levels of Wii.

● The release schedule for next year (go here btw!) will see no gap in-between major releases for Nintendo Switch.

Genyo Takeda -who retires in June- will continue as a ‘special advisor’ at Nintendo.

● Reggie Fils-Aimé told TIME that the Nintendo Classic Mini: Nintendo Entertainment System has sold 2.3 million consoles worldwide.

● Project Mekuru is officially going to be released as Battle Sports Mekuru. The release date is planned for early Summer.

● Day one of the ARMS Chokaigi tournament has passed. Pictures at the ARMS Twitter. Day two will air shortly at niconico.
