Weekly News Update with all the week’s Japanese Switch, 3DS, Wii U and Mobile news!

● Just a quick recap of the past week as I’m busy this evening! Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition is now available on Switch and already number one on the eShop!

● Baito announced that Collectible Badge Center will be updated for the final time on 26 May 2017 due to Nintendo 3DS internal storage issues. Read the full transcript here.

● Nintendo’s E3 plans include a Nintendo Spotlight video presentation on 13 June, a Treehouse Live (promising surprises!) and both Splatoon 2 and ARMS Tournaments.

● Bandai Namco will release One Piece: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition for Switch on 24 August with the Tales, Taiko no Tatsujin and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 games all due this fiscal year.

● Inside System announced Majin Shoujo Combat × Brave Dungeon for the Switch eShop this Summer featuring a new 3-on-3 battle game and a port of Brave Dungeon.

Neko Neko Nihonshi Puzzle was a surprise release on the 3DS eShop on Wednesday from FuRyu along with a Neko Neko Nihonshi theme (plus two Brave Dungeon themes).

Rudymical ♪ Majin Shoujo Ongaku Gaiden was a surprise release on the Switch shop too being a port of the iOS/Android rhythm game with The Legend of Dark Witch cast.

● Next week on the 3DS eShop will see a tower defence game Choju Giga Wars, a retro action game Doukutsujima plus localisations of Urban Trial: Freestyle 2 and Brick Race.

● The Switch eShop will see the earlier than expected Battle Sports Mekuru as well as ACA NEOGEO Galaxy Fight: Universal Warriors and presumably Thumper as well.

● Flyhigh Works have announced they will publish Q-Cumber Factory’s 2D pixelated rogue-like role playing game Alchemic Dungeons on the 3DS eShop in late May.

● Rainy Frog announced both Plantera: Garden Life DX Edition for Switch in June and Dead House Saisei (a localisation of the survival horror game Vaccine) for May.

● Columbus Circle will give the Super Famicom game Kaizou Choujin Shubibinman Zero a cartridge release on 30 June. The game was originally on Satellaview.

● The new Jake Hunter game Tantei Jinguji Saburo: Ghost of the Dusk will release for 3DS on 31 August. Early purchases will receive the 1988 Famicom game as DLC.

● In other news: Hyper Sentinel will come to Japan, The Tower of Permanently may come to Switch and Inazuma Eleven Everyday!! + will come to mobile in late June.
