Huge Wednesday Update with a new 3DS chat app, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney coming to 3DS, Tachyon Project to Wii U, plus more news!

● WaiS released another communication app today for Nintendo 3DS entitled Chou2 Talk which you to chat, phone and send drawings to registered friends. WaiS were previously responsible for the Chat-A-Lot app. Trailer here.

● Capcom are releasing Gyakuten Saiban 4 (Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney) for Nintendo 3DS on 22 November 2017. The game will be optimised for 3DS with 3D visuals and an English language option.

● Cosen will be publishing Eclipse Games’ twin-stick shooter Tachyon Project on the Japanese Wii U eShop on 23 August priced at ¥1,080.

● Zen Studios have published Infinite Minigolf on the Japanese Nintendo Switch eShop earlier today priced at ¥1,599.

● Nintendo have updated ARMS to Version 2.1 with mainly balance adjustments. The next update will add a new fighter and a new arm!

● From 22 August, Nintendo Switches will be available daily on the My Nintendo Store but with delivery beginning in October. There’s still a daily limit but it should be much easier to purchase one (albeit with delayed shipping).

Sekaiju to Fushigi no Dungeon 2 (Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2) and Tantei Jinguji Saburo: Ghost of the Dusk (Jake Hunter: Ghost of the Dusk) are both now available to pre-load on the 3DS eShop.

● Today’s demos see Urban Trial: Freestyle 2 on Nintendo 3DS, Cube Life: Pixel Action Heroes on Wii U and Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch Ver. on Nintendo Switch.

● Nintendo have opened up a The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild News Channel on Nintendo Switch delivering news, recipes and in-game items to the game. You must have installed Version 1.3.1 in order to receive items.

● This week’s Famitsu charts saw the 3DS version of Dragon Quest XI: Sugisarishi Toki o Motomete sell 259,676, Splatoon 2 sell 87,584 and Dai Gyakuten Saiban 2: Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Kakugo sell 61,035. Full charts posted here.

● Media-5 will publish both Maru Pass! Care Manager’s Examination Heisei 29th Edition and Maru Pass! Social Worker Examination Heisei 29th Edition on the 3DS eShop on 23 August priced at ¥2,800 apiece.

● Seiko Watch Corporation are releasing two Wired × Super Mario Bros. Limited Edition watches in Japan on 8 September priced at ¥19,440 ($177) apiece inclusive of tax. Pictures here.

● Today’s content update to Miitomo adds the second ‘Let’s head to the festival! Miitomo Yukata Fashion’ stage to Miitomo Drop with Ukiyo-E T-Shirt, Wave Pattern Yukata, Jinbei and Goldfish

● The Japanese 3DS Theme Shop was updated with new Cogimyun, Sentimental Circus, LiSA, Yie Ar Fanclub, Harumaki Gohan feat. Hatsune Miku and three wowaka themes. Trailers here.

● Over 100 games are on sale on the eShops due to the Obon holidays. Added games include TumbleSeed, One Piece Unlimited World R Deluxe Edition, Kamen Rider Atsume and Outer World 20th Anniversary Edition. Check out the full list of games on sale here.

● Shiny Pikachus are apparently being found at the Pokémon GO Park event in Yokohama. NO news on when they’ll hit foreign shores.

● A bathing suit promo video for Yoru no Nai Kuni 2: Shingetsu no Hanayome (Nights of Azure 2) here.

● An action trailer for Tiamo (Cordelia) in Fire Emblem Musou (Fire Emblem Warriors) here.

● The second promo video for Version 4.0 of Yokai Watch 3 Sushi / Tempura / Sukiyaki here.

● Four videos of BGM for Sonic Mania from the Original Soundtrack including Studiopolis Act 1, Hard-Boiled Heavies, Dimension Heist and Stardust Speedway here.

● The first promo video for Keiji J.B. Harold no Jikenbo Murder Club which is now available for Nintendo Switch here.

● Collavier apologised for the Physical Contact: SPEED patch being delayed until 24 August. They had hoped for 10 August but with no success. Nintendo are on summer vacation next week.

● And today’s ‘Susie’s Direct’ features this image comparing the pose after defeating King Dedede in Kirby’s Blowout Blast to that in Kirby’s Dream Land.
