Luke Fenwick — Life Impact Coach & Behavior Specialist

Luke’s Bio:

Luke worked for many years in sales and marketing for companies like Louis Vuitton, Moet Hennessy and The Melbourne Basketball Club. Luke wined and dined with celebrities and sports stars alike at premier destinations that only most could dream of vacationing. However, even at the peak of his career, Luke didn’t feel fulfilled, but exactly the opposite. Luke’s driven success affected not only his career and family, but everything around him.

So at the age of 44, Luke decided it was time to change the story which was supposed to be “the rest of his life”. He stepped away from his corporate role to reevaluate what was important and create beliefs and habits that would carry him forward in life and to his legacy. Stepping away allowed him the opportunity to work towards his vision of being the best father, husband and person he could be. It allowed him time to rewire the actions he took each and every day.

Although it was a great challenge, Luke gained clarity that he needed to have purpose in his work and life, instead of focusing on a pay check or lifestyle. Luke realized that he had to change his actions to do what he so desperately wanted to do. Luke’s actions moved him towards his mission, which was to help as many people do the things they want to do in order to live their best life and create a legacy of fulfilment. Luke’s main goal is to interact and impact a millions lives by 2025.

Breaking Point

During our podcast, Luke and I talked about our breaking points in our lives. It’s funny how two men separated by the Atlantic Ocean have similar reactions when we hit our breaking point. Luke and I discuss how in our story, our anxieties moments seemed like we were coming out of our skin, our hearts were racing at high RPMs and our minds could not stop. Luke discussed with being in sales the pressures of getting high in clients and keeping them were overwhelming at times, but he had a drive that surpassed a lot of his colleagues which made him successful at his position. Luke said he has rubbed shoulders with the likes of tennis super-star, Roger Federer. He told stories of many nights in storybook locations like Paris, France drinking Champaign and soaking in all the perks that came with his sales and marketing career. However, Luke told me that inside, he was only thinking about the next “thing or project.” He couldn’t even enjoy the spoils of his job at those present moments. This is where Luke noticed all he had worked for was making him miserable and affecting his home life. His successful career was all for not if he could not be present for his family.

Does this sound familiar to you? Can use resonate with this story? I know for me, I’m very driven and a lot of times on my quest for success, there are always something or someone that is left behind in the process. Usually, this was my family and they were the reason I was working so hard for to provide them a better quality of life. It is all for not, if you cannot be present in the moment. I too, realized if I did not take time to smell the roses, then I was going to miss out on my wife and daughters and live in regret as I got older. It’s not too late, if you are at your breaking point in life!! Stop what you are doing and re-evaluate your life and through positive change, you can make your life and others around you better than ever!!

Live a fulfilled life

You can have your cake and eat it too. You will have to be cognizant of your time and manage it properly to balance work life and family life. It can be a struggle, but it is worth all the hard work. If you want to live a fulfilled life then remember what you are working hard for. Is it for things or for your family? What are your values? What is your why in life? Can you be present in life’s moments? Instead of working for success in your career, work for success in your life and bring not only value to yourself, but bring value to everyone around you. Everyone’s definition of success is different, what is yours?
