Thanks for reading! Feeding and watering systems are included in the expenses I provided. I left out land, fencing and shelter costs because these costs vary so greatly by area and many people that would raise ostrich are already engaged in other farming activities and the fields, facilities, fencing can be used for other livestock.

Good points though! The numbers are not perfect, but just to provide rough estimates of potential profits.

There was a bubble a few years ago, but the prices (from my research) seem to have stabilized and at rates that allow a more realistic entry to the business.

That said, I would definitely encourage running your own numbers if you’re considering it. Let me know what you come up with!
