I grew up near Grapevine Texas and I experienced a lot of the surrounding areas. This is a list of some of the things I enjoyed during different parts of the year. Grapevine Texas is located between Dallas and Fort Worth. There are many things you can do within a 45 minute drive.
Accommodations
For accommodations you can stay at the Great Wolf Lodge or the Gaylord Texan. Both are located near each other and both offer different experiences. The Gaylord Texan is located right off of Grapevine Lake. . Every year starting in late November one of the most impressive ice displays comes to the Gaylord in an event called ICE!. The theme changes each year, but some examples from the past are The Grinch and Charlie Brown. Unfortunately ICE! hasn’t been available the last two years due to Covid restrictions. The other most notable hotel in the area is the Great Wolf Lodge. The Great Wolf Lodge is located only about 1 mile away from the Gaylord Texan.
