Trent Reznor and Apple Music

Trent Reznor knows unhappiness first hand. Most of the songs on his Nine Inch Nails records have been about his personal feelings and has been dissatisfied with the music business behind the scenes. Feeling stifled, he tried various methods of achieving a personal relationship with his fans. He says that music streaming is the best possible approach to connecting with his fans compared to his other attempts in the past. However, he states that his experience with existing music streaming services were a bit lacking. He aims to take a stab at a streaming service with Apple Music Beats 1 radio. Having previous served as Chief Creative Officer of Beats Music, he stayed on to help design the radio platform when Apple Music acquired the company. Beats 1 launches today and features shows by Dr. Dre, Elton John and Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme.
