What a great post. I wish I had the time or patience to run a similar experiment from the ‘guys’ side. Having left NY for LA 2 years ago, I can tell you that there are also many differences between East & West. For the many reasons you have written about, I never dated either. I had high hopes for the many dating apps early on but soon realized that the time & effort of searching never delivered the magical chemistry that make two people click. I’m curious as to how this post may have attracted the right man in your life. I love the ballet and visit NY for business on occasion. Perhaps we can meet and compare notes.
