About 80% of our incoming customer support requests on Nommit come from SMS. The app has a big “Text Us” button in the support page.

Right now, it’s hooked up to a Google Voice number that forwards to my phone and my co-founder’s phone. We try to reply in under 5 minutes, and the customer often does too.

This probably isn’t sustainable forever, but it’s a really easy way for us to answer questions quickly, talk to our users, and sound like a human.

There’s probably a company to be made out of making it sustainable to do support over SMS.
