Places…

While I sit here in my chair thinking to my self what to write about. The first place that comes to my mind is “ Shoey Diner & Family Restaurant”. It is a little dinner across from a gas station and has a great view of the “ Kwik Shoppe Drive Inn.” (By the way I highly recommend them for ice cream.) Okay back onto the “Shoey Diner”. I was highly unsatisfied with the service. I mean most diners have coffee cups and saucers already set for you, not here. Servers and the back of the house there seemed to not to happy. They seem to be under to much pressure. Being a server is hard work don’t get me wrong. But they seemed to hide all their smiles. I could hear the dishwasher from the front entrance of the restaurant. The servers didn’t have very good communication with the chef. I had witnessed someone that had gotten a unsuitable omelette, the cheese wasn’t even melted. They had sent it back and got it fixed. She also had ordered the white toast not the whole wheat. She then said not to worry about it but she was very displeased. I then got to talk to them about how I was looking for work. I said that I had experience with restaurants. She then laughed and told me that she was not happy. She said that the diner use to be good till the new chef came into place. I also notice that the ticket order was not in order. It’s the SMALL things chefs notice. We are here as a team and if you take this offensive I am sorry. The last thing that bothered me was the menus where. Why do I need to walk into a diner and see the big giant menus first. I feel as if it made me overwhelming. Cleaning the tables was another issue they seem to have the same rag from last night. Looks like they took a chef’s cloth and used it everywhere. But other then all the other small things I noticed the food was well done in my book. I have had some worse diner food in my life and they’re names shall not be released till next time. Thank you for taking the time to read my first Blog!!
