Thanks for your response Sachin, you’re absolutely right.

All of the reasons you mentioned are exactly why basic income is not a viable long-term solution.

The network/updated economy I described is intended to work independent of the monetary system. In other words, demand would be measured and then fulfilled all without the use of money. That way, as our current economic system falls away — due to all of the factors you described — this network would be our ‘updated economy’. (Gotta think of a better name for it!)
