New week, new tasks, new revelations. Work never stops, and it is time to share our weekly news and results.

Exchange

Let’s start with our recent disappointment. This week we figured out that developers we work with, started to work on another project (for one month or so) and then split their human resources. We do not want to put the blame on the developers, as it is the management in charge of such decisions. But let’s be honest, this drastically reduced the workforce, and possibly was the reason for delay. We had a huge discussion and made a point that all the resources should be put back to finish our Alpha. As we are well aware that people and investors are waiting for the first product to go live. On top of that, it is almost a month in delay from the initial roadmap. In any case, we believe that the message was heard and now things are progressing faster than before (we were doing weekly report and checkup before, and we have asked to do it daily since the trust has been lost). We do understand that it is not something you would like to hear, but we believe in transparency.

Wallet

To be fair there is nothing new to say about the wallet. We keep progressing. Significant advancements are being made on the UIX here in-house. Quick reminder: the first Alpha wallet will be a BIG collaboration with ETHworks on both the UI and the backend (UniversalLogin protocol). While the alpha version is built with Javascript and React, the beta UIX is currently being developed in-house with Flutter. We made such a decision due to time limitations and risk mitigation: as it takes time to develop a perfect UIX using a new framework, we have decided to launch build the alpha using React and Javascript.

Flutter is long term bet we are proud of. It is a multi-platform framework so only one team would be needed to build the web app, the mobile app, and the desktop app regardless of the operating system.

Plus, this framework allows us to create amazing and powerful UIX and to contribute to its development (we contribute by making the project open source and publishing on forums and GitHub so everyone can use our innovations). Our next milestone would be on the 8th of August: we plan to finish the innovative navigation system and show you how it would work. You will be able to see everything we talked about and why we truly believe that our wallet will “stand out from the crowd”!

This is all for today, stay tuned for more! See you next week!

Vsevolod.
