Great story. However as someone who isn’t from SF, one thing this story needed was a sentence or two about rents in San Francisco. How high are they?

It’s assumed readers know, but I don’t. I look at the chart and I don’t know what year that data is adjusted to.

I’d like that moment of: “woah. dude! that’s *x* times higher than my house !”
