Livestreaming Is Everything

When Periscope first launched in May of 2015, there was a huge sensation of a new discovery in technology. Its simple accessibility and ability to interact with people online in real time was what made Periscope become so popular.

And approximately a year later, Facebook launched a feature called Facebook Live and it was a massive hit. With Facebook’s huge user base already, its new feature made users even more committed to staying active on the app.

Just today, Instagram launched their own version of Live video. (they’re a bit late in the game)

If one company creates something that is a hit, another must incorporate it to their product as well. That is how they can sustain themselves, just like how Instagram attempted to when launching Instagram stories back in August.
