The World is Shit … And We Are All Guilty
Today I woke up depressed and tired. I woke up to no dreams and only a place of hopelessness. I wonder what is it that is dragging me into this bottomless pit? Very simply it is guilt.
I feel guilty only reading the news that air strikes continue to kill tens of thousands of people in the Middle East, that African children are still starving even after all the “10 cents” a day, that every time I sip the corporate poison, they call Starbucks, I am drinking the labor of underpaid workers, that I live in the most influential country on earth America and yet the only only focus that is being instilled is making America Great Again. Deep down, I know as an African American woman that greatness came from the blood of my ancestors and the blood of a beautiful Native people who once lived here in freedom. Now that freedom is gone.
I just feel guilty. I feel frozen. Helpless and like no one cares to listen. No one cares to shares in the fact that we are all guilty, all complacent, and all unwilling to sacrifice our luxuries because this system has deemed us fortunate. We are all guilty of sulking in the lie. We are all guilty of letting evil roam free. We are all guilty of hoarding our funds and investing in self instead of dedicating every breath to the fight. We are all guilty. This is why we are enslaved, punished this is why we are stuck.
The World is a piece of shit. But you don’t have to be. Do not be complacent. Realize your guilt and serve your time in the fight.

No one is more guilty than the oppressor. Make them pay.
