Hello! InstaPay is an experimental feature that uses Connext Network’s payment channels. When you deposit into the channel the money will be held in DAI, a stablecoin pegged to the U.S. dollar but backed by reserves of the Ether. When you withdraw from your channel the DAI will be converted back into Ether and it will show in your account.
The Mobile App uses the same encryption libraries as the extension and on top of that it’s integrated with the phone keychain with provides additional security through biometrics or device passcode / pin. We also did a security audit by Least Authority and they stated “We found that the overall design demonstrated that MetaMask is being developed with security in mind.”
Hi Mihailo! This is correct was just talking about the PoW to give a complete picture of the process. The main point that I was trying to convey was that syncing a full node is currently inconvenient and time consuming. But thank you for the feedback, it could have been more emphasized!
Hey John! To clarify, when light clients need state information, they go to a full client ask for it with the merkle proof. Light nodes are just using Full nodes as repositories of content-addressed, cryptographically verified data. Light Client only synchronize block headers
