Can Loneliness Kill You?
Elitsa Dermendzhiyska

Excellent read and compelling insights. But, still, the conflation of “feeling lonely” and “being isolated” irritates me because more and more people are “isolating” themselves in order not to feel so lonely in the midst of a hypersocial, impersonal, and indifferent society. This is — more than anything — personal, since I’m someone who loves being alone, and never feels lonely. So, in reading this I was sort of bummed to think that my love of isolation could in fact give me cancer.
