Oh, hear you on that one.

Congratulations on a brave piece, illustrating what it’s like to be at the forefront of free market excellence when it comes to the 4th Estate <sarcasm>.

What we’re dealing here is a combination of systemic failure, brought on by market failure. Somehow, with decades of job loss, dating back to Watergate and the start of big business buy-ups of news media, our voices have been stilled and our quills quieted.

Despite trillions spent worldwide each year on legislatures, executives and judiciaries, somehow public spending on the one estate that checks and balances the other three is ‘socialism’, and somehow, ‘socialism’ is a dirty word, despite evident economic successes exceeding that of America in many places around the globe, notable Scandinavia.

Until those concepts are challenged, there will not be much security, I’m afraid, going forward.
