The Defense Industry Is Filling Pentagon Leadership Roles
War Is Boring

I have profound distaste for President Trump, but I’m willing to cut him a little slack on the LM connetion. With the near total consolidation of the military industrial complex to a mere handful of company names (LM being the largest), it stands to reason that for a civilan to have the relevant experience necessary to work on military related procurement/policy for the government, they probably, almost definitionally, will have had to work in some capacity for lockheed Martin(Northrop, Boeing, General dynamic, Raytheon, General Electric, or Pratt and Whitney) all of whom, at any given time, will have contracts worth billions of dollars with the government.
