One Last Chance to Save the Royal Navy’s Flagship
War Is Boring

I say give Ocean as a gift to Canada! Canada is looking to recapitalize its fleet and doesn’t have the budget to purchase new fighters and expand its navy at the same time. Since Canada is likely to be engaged in any humanitarian mission England would be engaged in, it seems like a reasonable compromise and in keeping with the new liberal administrations non-interventionalist foreign policy. After all, it as about as useful a ship as Canada could hope to have to perform humanitarian relief, peace keeping, sea rescue/patrol, etc. Furthermore, Canada might be persuaded (as a condition of the offering) to upgrade Ocean to accomodate/cross base a handful of RAF F-35B’s in case of some future exigent circumstances.
