I think it takes extremes to bother spending he time to do a review. Either really good or really bad hence the 1 and 5 star breakup.

As for android I guess they may appreciate quality free apps more due to the varying quality on the android App Store. iOS users generally expect things to just work so maybe have less patience for problems whether they be the app or another issue with their account.

The iOS store allows replies to reviews now so was wondering if you contacted the guy locked out of his account to contact support? App Store developer replies I think add a whole extra level to this dialogue you’ve discovered. You may be even more surprised if you go further in this process by reaching out to them so they know they’re heard. Might bump up your ratings too.
