That definitely sounds better and more in line with human psychology I guess if it’s a healthy workplace.

I see the bigger issue being neoliberalism whereby the unemployed are used to control imaginary inflation. If we had true full employment then good people could leave these companies and they would not be able to get good staff and would ultimately suffer unless they change. Unfortunately neoliberalism keeps people in the slavery of debt and desperation so that quitting a bad job is potentially lethal – particularly since you don’t have public healthcare in the USA! I know I’m going on a tangent but it’s probably one of the reasons people are upset at each other because they’re trying to work out what the problem really is. Just a guess.
