Very well said. I agree with everything you outlined. Corporations aren’t humans. Only humans pay tax at the end of the day whether it’s customers or shareholders ultimately.

The sheer power of corporations and money in general over politics is a tragedy. We really need to work out a better system for funding political parties. What it is I’m not sure.

I love your idea of how taxing people instead of companies could increase shareholders view and care of corporate governance in general, and potentially make the executive team more directly accountable to shareholders particularly around exec pay. Cheers.
