One of my favorite things to do, if not my favorite, is playing golf. This weekend I got to play with my brothers as we were all home for the Jewish holidays.
We finished up our round and on the ride home my brother received a Facebook message from someone random, “Hi, I found a putter with your name on it on the 9th green. Let me know where I should leave it.”
What’s remarkable is the universality of Facebook and Facebook messenger. Facebook is truly a universal way to connect with people when all you know is their name and perhaps a few other details to nail down their specific profile. That person didn’t have my brothers phone number, or email… just his name, and the assumption he lives near the golf course.
So on behalf of my brother and his putter, thanks Facebook.
