You control who sees which Basecamps in your account, so every Basecamp/project is password protected. You can have 300 people in your account, but only 12 can see this Basecamp, 24 that Basecamp, 3 this Basecamp, etc. Every Basecamp/project is private to just that subgroup you specify.
