The main piece of advice that has stuck with me is to have confidence in what your capabilities are on a personal and professional level.

With this in mind, I was able to build a successful company from the ground up. Greentouch Home was built from hard work and determination to get the job done. As I mentioned before I was paying my employees through PayPal and credit card withdrawals. Fast-forward to today, Greentouch Home has a joint venture with big names and is incredibly successful.

It’s time they became more unified, collaborative and intelligent. This is a large opportunity, as I feel large enterprises generally under-invest in customer service capabilities.

We know that dispersed workforces are likely here to stay, so companies must be in a place to support this working style successfully and at a high level. Digital Transformation, including the implementation of cloud and mobile technologies, makes working from diverse locations less cumbersome, allowing for work flexibility while maintaining output levels.

Many think that bringing robots into a warehouse can replace human jobs. That is not the case. We’re actually able to hire more employees to work with the robots and complete the orders since the process is five times more efficient. Installing the robots at the warehouse will also make it easier for our company to expand in the future.

Make it your goal to give the listener a gift with each episode. If someone is giving you 25 minutes of their life, you need to give them something that’s worthy of their investment. It could be a few laughs, some fun facts, entertainment, some company, or even a distraction from something else.

Start small and iterate. You don’t need to transform the entire organization at once. Find a good example of a small but successful digital process transformation that has worked well in your organization and use it as a proof of concept. Armed with that success and the demonstrable benefits that ensued, you should then extend the transformation to other business processes and departments, with a view to starting small and iterating on what gets achieved. But you need that first win to increase the odds of success for your future transformation projects.

For the employer, one key benefit is the elimination of fixed overhead, such as paying for office space and utilities. On the employee side, remote work provides better flexibility in controlling your workday and eliminates commuting. For both parties, it also provides the opportunity to live and work from a wider range of cities around the country. Lastly, it opens a business’ talent pool to a much broader audience, allowing potentially more diverse and qualified talent to be interviewed as a potential fit.
