Some people might think I’m nuts for leaving a cool job in the music industry. Being a new dad, eight years into the job, it’s scary to make that transition to another gig.

Being a Dad doesn’t mean you stop taking risks in your career.

When no one depends on you, uncertainty is novel. When you’ve got mouths to feed, it can be downright scary. However, uncertainty, nervousness, and excitement have always served me well when making a move forward. That need to move forward is in my blood.

I guess that makes me a “Type A Dad”.

I want to always be there for my son and wife while making sure to feed the entrepreneurial side of my brain. So how do us “Type A Dads” juxtaposition our love of being fathers with the love of being completely consumed by creating things and/or being entrepreneurial? …
