Hi Sarah. Other than your personal experience, do you have any research data to show what you’re asserting here?
The reason I ask is I know several women who roughly fit the description of who you’re describing and I dare say they’d be offended if I informed them their tastes and personalities were only coping mechanisms.
I’m not saying your assertions are impossible. In fact, as a male, I can attest that I’ve seen it happen in reverse, where men adopt certain female pleasing behaviours simply to cope with their woman-dominated environments.
But if there’s any research to show how widespread this behaviour is, or if it’s just you projecting your personal experience onto others, would be good to know.
No offence intended, just looking for the science behind the argument.
