The M992 FAASV (Field Artillery Ammunition Support Vehicle) hauls the ammunition for the M109A6 Paladin howitzers. Our battalion replaced its old M548 ammunition carriers back in the late 1980s with the M992. The M113 doesn’t carry howitzer ammunition.
