Try These Easy Home Workouts Without Equipment

Not everybody can afford specialised workout equipment, or many of those who can just don’t have the space to store it. Therefore, I’d like to tell you how to do some easy home workouts without equipment.

Now, before you start thinking I’ve cheated you by mixing in a few weight-based exercises, I want to tell you that all those exercises are performed with things you probably already have in the house, so there’s no need to buy any special workout equipment.

For example, you could use those plastic cartons of milk that have handy handles (and come in various sizes and weights). You could use tins of beans, or bags of sugar or flour. Just be careful if using cans that your hands are large enough to get a good grip on them, as dropping one on your toes wouldn’t be nice.

Alternatively, get a couple of strong canvas shopping bags, and place tins in them. You’re less likely to have an accident by dropping them, and you can increase the weight by adding more tins as you get stronger.

A Note about Weight-based Exercises

It’s important with weight-based exercises to be able to perform the full range of movement in the exercise, and be able to safely return the weight to the starting position in a controlled manner.
