To climb atop the mountain
You have to leave the ground
And rise above the people
Who’d rather stand around
But beware of the jealousy
You possess the things they lack
And be strong on your journey
As they try to pull you back
Harness all your inner strength
And keep on ’til the prize
Resist the urge to look back down
At all the hate and lies
You have the inner beauty
And a strong will to succeed
Remember that you have been blessed
With all the things you need
And when you stand atop that peak
And gaze into the sky
You’ll know how much you can achieve
When you have the urge to try
You’ll understand the power
That helped you rise above
Was faith and dedication
And hope, and joy, and love
