Wow, this is wrong on so many levels. First, the majority of the country was rural when the Constitution was written. Over 3.5 million people lived in rural areas in the 1790 census compared to just 200,000 in urban areas (1790–1990 Census Table PDF).

This sounds more like Medium is gearing up to compete with Patreon. This makes sense. The content I seek out isn’t on traditional publishing sites, but thoughtful content off the beaten path and from Patreon creators.
I’d love to also see a Medium product for internal team use, like they have at Medium. People need a place to create and engage in private that isn’t Slack or E-mail.
