To me, Bernie looks a lot like the first real Occupy candidate, and the strength of his appeal to Millennials may be attributable to that as much as, to his so-called Socialism.

That’s as solid an explanation of Sanders’ appeal as I have seen yet. The Tea Party turned out candidates, won primaries and (depending how you are counting ) have 1–2 of the 3 leading GOP presidential candidates.

Occupy lacked the Koch-funded astro-turfing to launch a string of candidates, but those candidates were already there in the form of Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders. Sanders didn’t create the movement, but he’s finally found an electorate ready to hear and act on the same message he’s been espousing for 30 years.
