Come & Go

“So many people come and go, because everyone else is the problem, never them, no never.”

This isn’t a blog you’d expect from a web recruiter who makes a large portion of their money from people coming and going between jobs, though that’s not the play I’m going for here.

Every other week I have a very talented person contact me about new jobs, and I freaking love getting these calls, they’re always kept confidential!!!!!! …but what happens next is sometimes damn sad / frustrating as hell for me.

Every job the “comers and goers” take and some of which I may find for them, holds a problem (it’s not them), and look nothings perfect, but have you ever heard the saying “good things come to those who wait”? Most of that is bullsh*t — but let me tell you this, if you work at things with good people, great things can and do happen. I see it every day ☺

I see life as a game and in life, things and people come and go, however my advice to a certain few here is this, if you want to quit jobs and you think a change of team / environment or job is your key to more success or happiness, think not about the cooler people in the other space ship, think about the people you’re with and think about finishing the work you’ve started with them. There’s so many unfinished projects, so many unclaimed fortunes just laying around — stick it out and just get the prize, just for once. You’ll run out of companies to work with soon.
