Elon’s approach to marketing is extremely interesting. Insiders all know that Elon is famous for being tight on budget, to the point where he asks employees to build things from scratch for cheaper if he thinks it’s possible. However, he never spares a penny when it comes to being showy. For his announcement parties and events, he is willing to spend big bucks on carpets and hanging up his SpaceX rockets. Like Apple, he’s not spending a lot of money on marketing at all, but he has accomplished genius marketing by selling a dream and making people feel like they are part of something bigger.
