Let’s uncover the truth together using OSINT!

Introduction

OSINT stands for open source intelligence, which refers to legally gathered information about an individual or organization from free, public sources. In practice, that tends to mean information found on the internet. Still, any public information falls into the category of OSINT, whether it’s books or reports in a public library, articles in a newspaper, or statements in a press release.

OSINT is different from other forms of intelligence gathering in several ways, including the following:

1. OSINT is focused on publicly available and legally obtainable information, whereas other forms of intelligence gathering may involve confidential or classified sources.
2. OSINT uses various sources, including social media, news articles, public records, and government reports. In contrast, other forms of intelligence gathering may focus on a specific source type.
3. OSINT often involves using advanced analytical techniques, such as natural language processing and machine learning, to extract insights and intelligence from large volumes of data. In contrast, other forms of intelligence gathering may rely more on human analysis and interpretation.

Let’s Find Someone :-

One day, I decided to delve deeper into the life of a senior friend of mine, eager to uncover more about his story.

I just know his name that is “DEEPAK KHANNA”

I approached the challenge like a hacker, armed with only his face and name, determined to uncover his personal information.

Step 1. My initial approach involved leveraging LinkedIn, a platform known for its networking capabilities. From a hacker’s standpoint, this meant strategically gathering valuable insights and personal details.

Things i found his company “UNIQLO INDIA” his location “Gurugram ,Haryana,India” his position in that company “ CS & E-commerce operation” .

I also get his Company Mail But we need to find his personal mail

Step 2. Twitter

I managed to obtain his birth date “ 10 February” In his profile picture he look like he is 25–30 approx.., which not only allowed me to estimate his age but also provided clues to confirm his location.

Through Twitter, I discovered his customer service complaints about companies like Uber, Swiggy, and KFC, complete with photos of bills that initially helped me find his contact number. He later removed the posts after I alerted him about the sensitive information being shared.

Step 3. Get his G-mail

Boom! I managed to retrieve his Gmail address after saving his phone number from his Twitter account before he deleted the media.

I also located his ex, which is highly personal and sensitive. Out of respect for his privacy, I won’t disclose any personal details that could potentially upset him if he were to read this blog.
