Self Driving Cars Are Not “Five Years Away.”
John Battelle

That is a quandary, I can understand if car manufacturing companies do go the same way as Mercedes, why would anyone buy your car knowing it could kill you based on an algorithm? I know human nature is to try avoid the kids but it’s like swerving to try avoid an animal on the road it’s dangerous and endangers you, your passengers and other road users, yet you still can’t stop yourself.

As for autonomous vehicles I hope some day we can have autonomous public transport that replaces cars, I can’t really see it happening but it’s a nice thought. So many times I’ve been stuck in traffic and thought, we are all going the same direction if only we had coordinated and planned, instead we become each others problem and get frustrated as to why there’s so much traffic.
