I was a vegetarian for 20+ years. I started eating meat again this year. While you might not agree with the author’s decision, I’d be careful about making blanket statements like “meat is murder”. None of us have all the answers; all of us are probably partially wrong in our viewpoints.

I applaud any butcher that cares where their meat comes from — and it sounds like Cara falls squarely into this catogory.
