Stepping out of comfort zone
So here is a story to share with you that how I stepped out of comfort zone for a challenge of in person drop of resume. When I took this challenge, I don’t know exactly that it was going to become a so difficult task. In a very sunny day, I decided to go out for in person resume drop to the colleges and schools. As Allama Iqbal town is nearest to me so I went there in Allied star college which is new college in this town. When I entered in college and asked for principal then they directed me towards an office of college’s principal. My heart was pounding too hard and I felt as it was viva day. Before entering in office, I relaxed myself by taking deep breath and then I was ready for this challenge.
When I entered office, there was a principal and a lady sitting in office. I show them my resume and cover letter confidently and give my elevator pitch. Though I couldn’t follow the sequence of pitch but I delivered it confidently. Their behaviour was so encouraging that I feel more relaxed. They offered me a job of teaching the 9 10th grade students. They also said we are starting the B.Sc batch and we would like it if you show willingness to teach the B.Sc as well. It was very exciting and different experience for me.
I’ve learned first that I could do anything if I really want to do and it was not so difficult as I perceived. Once you stepped out of comfort zone, you felt that there is also comfort outside the comfort zone if we do all things properly and on time with full energy and determination.
