Anwaarul Haq Kakar Named Pakistan’s Caretaker Prime Minister
In a surprising turn of events, the lesser-known politician Anwaarul Haq Kakar, hailing from the southwestern province of Balochistan, has been appointed as the interim prime minister of Pakistan. The announcement was made following a consensus reached between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the outgoing Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, Raja Riaz. After a crucial meeting in Islamabad, the two leaders proposed Kakar’s name for the esteemed position of caretaker prime minister. Subsequently, President Arif Alvi granted his approval to this recommendation under Article 224-A of the Constitution.
